You ran to Ludwig's house, which luckily was not that far away. By the time you were there, you were completely out of breath. You opened the door and sprinted up the stairs and burst into Ludwig's room. Ludwig heard you and turned around.
For a whole minute, you and Ludwig, just stood there, looking at each other. You stepped forward tentatively. Ludwigs face was completely blank.
"Ludwig"
He didn't say anything.

You just accidentally dropped all your shopping right in the middle of the store and now you were blushing furiously. You had just gotten back from India a day ago and your mom had told you to go shopping to repopulate the fridge. She had said that she couldn't because she needed some 'quality' time with you stepfather. You sighed and bent down to start picking things up.
"Need a hand, Frau?" You jumped slightly at the familiar accent and looked up after realizing it was only Gilbert. (you just might have been expecting someone else....)
"Oh. Gilbert. It's you. Yeah, sure. That would be helpful." Gilbert crouched down beside you and started gathering your fallen groceries with you.

Gilbert walked up the stairs and pushed the door to his brother's room without asking and walked in. Ludwig was sitting at the chair in front of his desk. He went over and looked at the desk. Ludwig was staring at a blank piece of paper with a pencil in his hand, but he was making no moves to write. Gilbert decided it was better not to ask. He set the plate of food down next to the paper.
"You need to eat Ludwig." Gilbert put a had on Ludwig's shoulder. Ludwig shrugged.
"I will in a little bit. I just need to finish something." Gilbert looked dubiously at the paper. He couldn't help it.
"Finish what?"
"Nothing."
"Ok, eat first, and then you can finish your 'nothing'." Gilbert commanded. Ludwig let out a small sigh and put down his unused pencil. Obediently, he picked up the fork and started eating with Gilbert looking over him intently. He finished the food quickly and put the fork down.

You were sitting on the couch with Ludwig watching a movie. Disney, of course, your favorite and Ludwig had not objected. He wasn't a complete fan like you were but it didn't matter. He wasn't really watching the movie anyway. He was simply distracting you so you couldn't watch the movie. The movie was Beauty and the Beast. Your all time favorite. Except for the part where the Beast turned back into a human because he was uglier as a human than a beast, so in your opinion, it would have been ok if he had stayed a beast, or they could have gotten a better artist to draw his face.

Ludwig stared at his brother, now even more confused.

"Then why?" Ludwig could hear Gilbert sigh in exasperation.

"Did you know her parents got divorced and her mom remarried?" Gilbert asked.

"No, why?"

"Well, she married an Indian guy who is very traditional and holds to ALL of the old traditions. And, unfortately, _____'s mother completely agrees with him."

"What are you talking about?"

"_____ was in India for a couple weeks to meet her stepfather's family."

"Just get to the point. Stop jumping 'round the bush, bruder." Ludwig growled.

"There was another reason they went to India. ______'s stepfather wanted to set up an arranged marriage for ______ to some indian kid for when they were thirty or something." (the truth is OUT)

"Wait what?!?" Ludwig stared at Gilbert with his mouth open.

It had started to rain lightly by the time Ludwig had gotten to the park. He walked to the place he knew you would be and sure enough, you were. Sitting under the tree where you had taken a picture on your last birthday. Ludwig walked over and crouched before you.

"______" He whispered. You looked up. Tears streaked your face. You looked at him with surprise. "Das tut mir aber leid, Frau. Ich bin einen dummkopf." You looked at him confused. You didn't understand. Ludwig understood your look and explained. "I'm so sorry. I was an idiot. Gilbert told me about India."

"You're not mad anymore?" You asked tentatively, lifting your head from your knees and crossing your legs.

"How could I be, Frau?" Ludwig moved closer and cupped your face in his large hand. "I'm so sorry, ______. Can you forgive me?" The look in Ludwig's eyes was so fragile that you nearly started crying again.

"Of course I forgive you." Ludwig looked down for a moment. "What is it?"

"I don't deserve you. I realize that now." Ludwig said with a short laugh. "You are so perfect and I am....." his voice stated to fill with self disgust. "ein Schwein." He looked back into your eyes. "I really don't deserve you. You are to good for me." Ludwig paused for a moment. "But... will you take me back?"

"Of course, dummkopf!" You smiled. Ludwig's eyes lit up.

"Wirklich?"

"Of course!" Ludwig leaned forward and kissed you. You wound your hands into his wet blond hair and pulled him down on top of you. His chest pressed against yours as you continued to kiss. Ludwig pulled away for a moment and kissed jaw. You giggled.

"Behave," You pretended to chide him. So obviously, Ludwig did....not. He wrapped on arm around your waist and tangled the other in your hair. His mouth skimmed over yours jaw and then down the side of your neck. You gasped slightly and felt him smile against your skin. He pulled back and looked at you. His blue eyes were sparkling. He leaned down to kiss you again.

no it is my time to give a slight rant. for all those hetalia fanpeople who write fanfic fluff about germany (and gilbert sortof b/c its a german speaking place)
in germany, it is so not like it is here. they do not say i love pizza, i love this, i love that. they do not even say it to their parents. and if you are german and you have a crush on someone and they finally admit to you that they like you too. you wouldn't say i love you. b/c they don't throw it around like us stupid americans. if you have been dating someone for a long time and you really do love them, actually truely, not just i like like you, then obviously, you would say it. (in this ludwig and you were going of for a year before this, so its ok.) sorry for that rant. its just that i have read some fics where they use ich leibe dich like americans. if your one of those people, sorry, its nothing personal!!! it just that i like german things to be actually german not amaricanish pretending to be german.
