Ludwig*Reader Why did you have to go part 2

Ludwig's POV~~


Ludwig stared at the picture on his floor. It was from _______'s 17th birthday. They were sitting under a tree, laughing together and Gilbert had come up and taken the picture without them realizing it.

Flashback~

You pulled Ludwig down to sit next to you under the tree.

"Come on, Luddy!!" You whined playfully.

"No," Ludiwg said pretending to frown at the nickname even though he really didn't mind it, at least from you.

"Pleasepleasepleaspleasepleaseplease!!!!!!!"

"No," Ludwig said again, smiling slightly at your insistence.

"But you HAVE to!"

"No I don't"

"But you do," You poked him, multiple times. Ludwig looked over at you and got a mischievous gleam in his eye. "Ludwig....?" Gently he pushed you on your back and started tickling you mercilessly. You were very, very ticklish.

"Ludwig!" You laughed, trying to push his hands away put failing because you were laughing so much you could hardly move, let alone get Ludwig to stop tickling you. Ludwig stopped and put his hand on the ground on either side your head. He looked down at you, grinning.

"Ludwig," You said again, pretending to pout.

"Now, ve can't have that. You can't pout on your birthday." Ludwig chided you.

"Make me," You stuck your tongue at at him.

"With pleasure." He said and leaned down to kiss you. You wound your hands in his silky blond hair and pulled him closer to you. Unfortunately you were interrupted by a familiar call.

"Kesesesesesese!" Ludwig got off of you and glared at his older brother who was making kissing faces at you and Ludiwg.

"Bruder!" Ludwig said annoyed. You sat up and looked at Ludwig, ignoring Gilbert.

"What were we arguing about?" You asked. Ludwig looked at you and raised an eyebrow.

"You don't remember?"

"No, I don't. I got a little distracted by something." you stuck your tongue out him again. Ludwig just laughed.

"You have the shortest memory of anyone I know." Ludwig said, still laughing. You huffed but laughed with him.

"Awwww, you two are so cute!" Gilbert said waving a camera around. Ludwig got up to chase after him but you pulled him back down and kissed him again.

Later Gilbert had, of course, posted all the pictures he took of Ludwig and you, including the ones of you two making out, on the internet.

End Flahsback~~ (back to sadness )


The glass a wood splinters were still scattered on the floor from where they had fallen from his hand. The pain in his hand throbbed slightly. But it was nothing compared to the feeling inside of his chest. It felt empty. It was if _____ had taken his heart, torn it to shreds and flung it back in his face. Ludwig sunk onto his bed and rested his head on the wall. He closed his eyes, trying to forget but the image of _______ was burned into his eyelids and her voice echoed in his head.

"I don't love you anymore."

Ludwig opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling. He tried to think, or not to think. What had he done? Why on earth or anywhere else in the universe, would _______ have said that. It didn't make sense. How could she....? How? She had said it was too late to change it. Too late for what? To change what? What had he done?
